Amnesty Bill Being Prepped
For many months the Gunny has been warning you about pro-amnesty Republicans and Democrats getting together to weaken immigration laws, reduce border security and not only grant amnesty to illegal aliens who have infiltrated America, but reward those criminals with citizenship.
DETROIT (AP) - Nation of Islam leader Louis Farrakhan is heading into what's billed as his final major address Sunday, and some Muslims are wondering if the fiery orator - now slowed by poor health - will try to repair old divisions between his movement and mainstream Islam.
It seems the military is now openly fed up with anti-military liberals demanding they retreat and refusing to support them.
Now they are doing something about it. Every military man and woman out there should read this and participate before it is too late and the Democrats again screw our armed forces for political gain.
Well, we are begining to see light at the end of the tunnel. I sit here tonight looking at only about 45 more days left here in Iraq. We have been typically busy and now that we are getting short everyone is moving at the "double time" trying to accomplish as much as possible.
Last week we suffered our first (and hopefully last) casualty when one of my tough young corporals got into a short but intense firefight. He was nicked in the thigh by an AK round that left him with a slight cut, some swelling and bruising. The Motivator didn't even know that he had been hit until he got back to the house here and strted to relax. He now has a "million dollar wound". Of course we all know that it also comes with the old story that starts out with "If I had been standing one more inch to my left..." and he knows he was being watched over that night.
The chow and cigars that everyone has sent out to us has been amazing. I can't speak for all of my boys, but I know that I have 45 or so days before I have to step on a scale and I am going to be spending a lot of it in the gym. At this point I am requesting a "check fire" as I think the target has been obliterated. Of course if anyone wants to continue sending chow and other items, our replacements will be starting a twelve month tour in only a few weeks. They are coming from 5/10 and represent the first active duty Marine Corps unit to stand up as a Civil Affairs Group.

Overall, the United States and our partners have disrupted at least ten serious al-Qaida terrorist plots since September 11--including three al-Qaida plots to attack inside the United States. We have stopped at least five more al-Qaida efforts to case targets in the United States or infiltrate operatives into our country.
10 Plots
The West Coast Airliner Plot: In mid-2002 the U.S. disrupted a plot to attack targets on the West Coast of the United States using hijacked airplanes. The plotters included at least one major operational planner involved in planning the events of 9/11.
The East Coast Airliner Plot: In mid-2003 the U.S. and a partner disrupted a plot to attack targets on the East Coast of the United States using hijacked commercial airplanes.
The Jose Padilla Plot: In May 2002 the U.S. disrupted a plot that involved blowing up apartment buildings in the United States. One of the plotters, Jose Padilla, also discussed the possibility of using a "dirty bomb" in the U.S.
The 2004 UK Urban Targets Plot: In mid-2004 the U.S. and partners disrupted a plot that involved urban targets in the United Kingdom. These plots involved using explosives against a variety of sites.
The 2003 Karachi Plot: In the Spring of 2003 the U.S. and a partner disrupted a plot to attack Westerners at several targets in Karachi, Pakistan.
The Heathrow Airport Plot: In 2003 the U.S. and several partners disrupted a plot to attack Heathrow Airport using hijacked commercial airliners. The planning for this attack was undertaken by a major 9/11 operational figure.
The 2004 UK Plot: In the Spring of 2004 the U.S. and partners, using a combination of law enforcement and intelligence resources, disrupted a plot to conduct large-scale bombings in the UK.
The 2002 Arabian Gulf Shipping Plot: In late 2002 and 2003 the U.S. and a partner nation disrupted a plot by al-Qa'ida operatives to attack ships in the Arabian Gulf.
The 2002 Straits of Hormuz Plot: In 2002 the U.S. and partners disrupted a plot to attack ships transiting the Straits of Hormuz.
The 2003 Tourist Site Plot: In 2003 the U.S. and a partner nation disrupted a plot to attack a tourist site outside the United States.
5 Casings and Infiltrations
The U.S. Government & Tourist Sites Tasking: In 2003 and 2004, an individual was tasked by al-Qa'ida to case important U.S. Government and tourist targets within the United States.
The Gas Station Tasking: In approximately 2003, an individual was tasked to collect targeting information on U.S. gas stations and their support mechanisms on behalf of a senior al-Qa'ida planner.
Iyman Faris & the Brooklyn Bridge: In 2003, and in conjunction with a partner nation, the U.S. government arrested and prosecuted Iyman Faris, who was exploring the destruction of the Brooklyn Bridge in New York. Faris ultimately pleaded guilty to providing material support to al-Qa'ida and is now in a federal correctional institution.
2001 Tasking: In 2001, al-Qa'ida sent an individual to facilitate post-September 11 attacks in the U.S. U.S. law enforcement authorities arrested the individual.
2003 Tasking: In 2003, an individual was tasked by an al-Qa'ida leader to conduct reconnaissance on populated areas in the U.S.

THE APPEASER
From their fetid positions on the Senate Armed Services Committee, Ku Klux Klan kleagle (recruiter) Sen. Robert Byrd, drunken aquatics expert Sen. Edward Kennedy, and comb-over master Sen. Carl Levin just voted for Dr. Robert Gates to head straight to the full Senate for a confirmation vote as America’s next secretary of defense. The man might actually receive a unanimous vote in the full Senate, just as he did on the aforementioned committee.
What is wrong with this picture?
And what is wrong with the next secretary of defense telling the world that the terrorists are winning in Iraq? That’s a fine message to send the enemy, not to mention our soldiers, sailors, airmen and Marines who, by the way, have yet to lose a battle there. When Doctor Gates returned to the hearing after lunch, he quickly—and much too late—amended his slur-heard-‘round-the-world by saying our troops always win. The damage had been done and done big.
No, that ain’t all, folks. The future Mr. Secretary said that he does not believe the commander in chief has the authority to order military action against terrorists, namely the terrorist regimes in control of Iran and Syria. That would be news to the founding fathers.
God, I wish I was making this up.
And I wish it were not true that Dr. Gates is about to take over the Department of Defense having never been a trigger puller who has commanded men in combat, much less commanded men in combat involving asymmetric warfare. His military service consists of being an extremely low-level briefer in the Air Force far, far removed from any enemy combatant. He’s a rear-echelon admin pogue who is about to be placed in charge of every Special Forces killer, ground-pounding Marine machine gunner, merciless sniper and wild-eyed SEAL we have.
Why, yes, it does get worse.
Bob Gates was involved in the maniacal Iran-Contra scheme, which saw a U.S. Marine lieutenant colonel and a U.S. Navy admiral selling missiles to a terrorist state responsible for the deaths of hundreds of Marines.
Stay with me.
Gates believes we should be talking directly with those same terrorists today.
And he says “all options are on the table” when it comes to bringing U.S. military involvement in Iraq to conclusion, which necessarily includes withdrawal before victory.
Upon hearing all this, the furious ghosts of MacArthur, Puller and Sherman upchucked.
Dr. Robert Gates, the DoD’s will-be appeaser-in-charge, is waiting in the wings to lead our armed forces to certain ambivalence, mediocrity and hesitancy.
Unless Gates’ performance before the Committee today was all a Machiavellian ruse to hornswaggle the many knaves thereon and once ensconced, he intends to stomp a mud hole in the enemy’s chest. Sadly, I doubt very much that is the case, but pray like hell I am wrong.
